New Details About Pixar Pier Are Here!

In addition to the newly reimagined Incredicoaster and all-new Lamplight Lounge, you will discover new experiences – both big and small – throughout the newly reimagined Pixar Pier.

In 2019, Jessie the yodeling cowgirl will invite you for a rootin’ tootin’ spin on Jessie’s Critter Carousel. Inspired by Jessie’s wilderness friends in the “Woody’s Roundup” television show from “Toy Story 2,” this newly reimagined attraction is a classic boardwalk carousel with a whimsical spin. Saddle up on one of 56 adorable friends, choosing from a turtle, snake, buzzard, armadillo, bunny, deer, raccoon, ram, skunk and two cozy logs inhabited by a family of owls.

And when Pixar Pier opens June 23, 2018 at Disney California Adventure® Park, you will find transformation around every corner.

Just past Lamplight Lounge, you will find Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats. Inspired by the lovable and not-at-all-abominable monster from “Monsters, Inc.,” this will be your go-to for frozen treats.

Pixar Pier Attractions

In the “Toy Story” neighborhood of Pixar Pier, big appetites and small fries alike will love the Poultry Palace. This giant fun meal inspired by Pixar’s short, “Toy Story Toon: Small Fry,” even comes with a Fun Meal Zurg!

You can also stop by Señor Buzz Churros, where Buzz has switched into Spanish mode to offer this quintessential Disneyland Resort treat.

Further down Pixar Pier, Angry Dogs will be serving up some hot items – which is the perfect place for Anger from “Inside Out.” The more he burns with rage, the hotter the dogs get!

Make sure you come discover these and many more newly themed experiences throughout Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park! And be sure to purchase your discounted Disneyland® Resort theme park tickets here!

2018 Disney Parks and Resorts Price Increase

The 2018 price increase effects guests in more than just one way (higher prices). The following details have been released concerning the new price increase:

We know how important making memories at Disney theme parks is to families and we will continue to evolve our pricing in way that gives families a range of options to meet their budget and helps better spread attendance throughout the year so they can make the most of every visit.

Disneyland® Resort

Effective Feb. 11, 2018 ticket prices, including Annual Passport prices at Disneyland Resort will be adjusted. As a part of this adjustment, the Annual Passport renewal discount will be discontinued.

Walt Disney World® Resort

Effective Feb. 11, 2018, ticket prices at Walt Disney World Resort will be adjusted. Other price adjustments include theme park parking, theme park lockers and Minnie Van service.

As previously shared, later this year, Walt Disney World Resort plans to implement date-based pricing. Given the small percentage of Guests that purchase a 1-day ticket at Walt Disney World, extending pre-published, date-specific pricing to multi-day tickets will further advance our efforts spread to attendance throughout the year and ensure all Guests have a magical experience no matter when they visit.

Remember you can still get discounted Disneyland tickets at 2017 pricing with Park Savers for a limited-time!

2018 Disneyland® Resort Price Increase Is Coming

Based on previous years we suspect a price increase for 2018 Disneyland® Resort tickets. Historically the ticket increase could be anywhere from $4-$20 per ticket and may include a price increase for Annual Passes as well. We would expect to see the increase happen within the next 30-45 days.

Luckily for you Park Savers is still offering 2017 discounted prices! Even after the price increase we will still have 2017 prices for a very limited-time. If you plan to visit the parks ANYTIME is 2018 now is the time to buy.

Don't miss the Pixar Fest Celebration at Disneyland® Resort, and the summer debut of the new Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure® Park.

Ticket specials going on right now include Adults Pay Kids Price on 3 and 4-Day Park Hopper® tickets. All tickets are currently at 2017 discounted prices including 1-Park Per Day tickets and Park Hopper® tickets.

Changes Coming To "it's a small world" Mall at Disneyland

Once “it’s a small world” returns to its classic version, transitioning from “it’s a small world” Holiday, you may notice work continuing in the promenade in front of the attraction. The location of the queue will be moved – along with other enhancements, including a new parade route entrance and stroller area – allowing Guests to travel through “it’s a small world” Mall with greater ease.

“it’s a small world” Mall is a popular area of Disneyland® Park. In addition to accessing “it’s a small world,” Guests use the promenade in front of the attraction to get to Mickey’s Toontown and Fantasyland Theatre, among other offerings. The slightly adjusted parade route will make room for the attraction’s new queue, creating more space in the area.

“it’s a small world” Holiday will close on Jan. 22, 2018 and “it’s a small world” will reopen on Feb. 2, 2018. The aforementioned changes are expected to complete in spring, when “Pixar Play Parade” will step off the new parade route entrance during Pixar Fest, beginning April 13, 2018.

Be sure to purchase your discounted Disneyland tickets for 2018 with Park Savers!

Getting Around the Disney Parks For Less

Part of your Disney vacation experience includes a lot of travelling. Not just getting to the parks but once you arrive as well. While there are several options out there for transportation there are only a few that we would recommend.

Airport Transportation

Once you've arrived to LA or Orlando you still need to figure out how to get from the airport to your hotel or the resort. In Orlando if you're staying on property we would always suggest using Disney's Magical Express, a free shuttle bus from MCO to your hotel. You can schedule the bus here after you've booked your property hotel.

In Anaheim, if you've flown into SNA - Orange County or LAX you can take the Disneyland Express. It will drop you off at your hotel and is typically available every hour. Book your reservation in advance here or just pay once you get on the bus. Use coupon code AOC to save $10 off a RT ticket from LAX.

For everyone else we would suggest using LYFT or Uber to help you get from the airport to your hotel or the resort. They are much cheaper than a taxi and are readily available for all airports. A trip from Long Beach Airport or Orange County Airport will cost you about $25 for up to 4 people. From LAX it will cost your about $35-$40.

From Orlando Intl. Airport to Walt Disney World it will cost you about $40, again, if you didn't sign up for the free transportation on Disney's Magical Express.

Getting a ride is as simple as installing the app for either company and request your first ride. You can even use our LYFT coupon code parksavers50 or Uber code uberparksavers20. You'll receive up to $20 off your first ride with each company.

Getting Around the Resort

Once you're at the parks getting around when needed can also get pricey if you're thinking about renting a car or taking taxi's.

One thing to keep in mind is that rental cars cost per day but they also can incur parking fees at your hotel and/or the parks. This adds up fast with parking costing $20+ per day and a hotel parking fee of $10+ per day.

In Orlando at Disney World be sure to utilize the free bus transportation from your hotel to the parks and from park to park. This is available to all guests whether you're staying on property or not.

Now if you don't want to wait in long bus lines or you need to get to a store for any reason we would suggest taking a LYFT or Uber. From park to park they can be as little as $6-$8 per ride and are readily available.

At Disneyland in Anaheim we would suggest doing the same, using a LYFT or Uber to get around. There is a LYFT and Uber drop off point just outside the main entrance on the East side of the Resort or you can have them drop you off at Downtown Disney. Do not ask them to drop you off at a Disney Hotel. For security reasons the Cast Members will have the driver take you elsewhere as the hotel is for registered guests only.

Following these suggestions can help you save several hundred dollars on your next Disney vacation just in the transportation part of your trip. For even more savings on hotels, packages and tickets be sure to visit https://parksavers.com.

Last-Minute Disneyland Trip: Planning and Saving Tips

Looking to book a last-minute Disneyland trip? Here's everything you need to know about tickets, hotels, dining, and saving.

Last-minute Disneyland trips are a lot of fun! You're super excited about going because just a few minutes ago you weren't even planning on it. As it sinks in you're thinking about how much you have to do to get ready. Our last-minute Disneyland trip guide can help you process everything while offering tips for booking and saving (even last-minute planners get savings).

Tickets

You can still purchase discounted tickets for Disneyland in last-minute scenarios. Visit Park Savers for Disneyland ticket discounts. They have the best deals and allow you to book your tickets just a few days before arrival.

Be sure to see what specials they are running on their tickets like a free day or Adults at Kids pricing. No matter what you find you'll pay less than gate or online pricing with them.

Hotel

A Disneyland Property hotel may be impossible to book at this point because they tend to fill-up months before. Not to fret. Be sure to look everywhere before giving up. Park Savers has great inventory and great pricing. Besides them check-out Disney themselves, Expedia, Priceline, or Hotels.com. They all have different inventory so you may get lucky.

If you don't care about staying on property we'll recommend some of our favorite hotels with great amenities like free parking, breakfast, and close to the parks.

  • Residence Inn Marriott Convention Center - Free breakfast (the best around) and a 5 minute walk to the parks.
  • Desert Palms Hotel and Suites - Free parking and breakfast and a 5 minute walk to the parks.
  • Desert Inn and Suites - Free breakfast and a 1 minute walk to the parks.
  • Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel - Free parking and breakfast, 10 minute walk to the parks.

Flights

If you need to fly in last-minute check Southwest airlines. They are the cheapest followed by JetBlue. Airports near Disneyland include SNA - Orange County, LGB - Long Beach, and finally LAX - Los Angeles. SNA is closest followed by Long Beach then LAX.

Getting to and from the airport can be pricey. We always recommend using Uber or LYFT. If you've never used them before use our coupon codes:

Uber Code: deang2368ue - $20 off your first ride!

LYFT code: parksavers50 - Up to $50 in free ride credit!

These are great for getting to and from places as well including picking up and dropping off at the parks from a non-property hotel.

Dining

Unlike its sister park, Disneyland doesn't take 100+ day reservations for its restaurants. If you're looking for reservations at the Blue Bayou or Carthay Circle Restaurant we would suggest downloading the Disneyland Mobile App right now and start searching! And don't stop searching! Search many times per day! People cancel reservations all the time so the more you search the better chance you have at getting a reservation.

Outside of those two restaurants most of the Disneyland dining is quick service. You can bring in your own food like packed lunches. When you arrive in Anaheim head to Wal-Mart or Vons and buy what you need. Vons does delivery to your hotel for free but you may pay slightly higher prices for the food items. Sometimes not.

We'll leave you with one of our favorite food tips: The Red Wagon Corndog stand in Disneyland Park is the best. It's even better when you tell them you just want a corndog, no chips. You'll save over $2.00....huzzah!

Conclusion

Take the trip! You'll have no regrets visiting the Happiest Place on Earth! The sun is always shining, it's nice and warm, Mickey and the gang are waiting to greet you, and Indiana Jones is ready for another adventure! That's what makes last-minute Disneyland trips so fun!

Pixar Fest Is Coming To Disneyland

Pixar Fest To Celebrate Our Favorite Pixar Pals

Starting April 13th, 2018 a new celebration will begin at the Disneyland Resort and it's all about your favorite Pixar Pals! Pixar Fest will feature tons of new activities and shows at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

First, the parades. We're going to see the return of two, both of which we're really excited about! Originally making its debut at Disney California Adventure Park the Pixar Play Parade will be shown at Disneyland Park and feature all of the original floats plus some new ones including the Pixar Lamp, UP, and Inside Out! If you can't quite remember this parade you can watch the entire show here.

The second parade, and the one we're most excited about is the Paint the Night Parade. This parade debuted during the Diamond Celebration at Disneyland and was then set to Walt Disney World in trade for the Main Street Electrical Parade. Next year for Pixar Fest it will makes it return but to California Adventure Park instead of Disneyland Park. It will feature all of the Pixar characters it did before including Cars, Toy Story, and Monsters Inc. plus new movie characters later in the year.

Both parades will debut on April 13th, 2018 at the respective parks and the start of Pixar Fest.

Next we have an all new fireworks show for Disneyland Park: Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular. Together Forever will feature a theme of friendship and include some of the heart-warming music from our favorite Pixar films plus some amazing new pyrotechnics and projections! The projections will not only be seen on Cinderella's Castle but also on the buildings of Main Street U.S.A., "it's a small world" and the water screens of Rivers of America. Plus lookout for Buzz Lightyear as he flies over-head!

Debuting with the new parades and firework show is an all new Pixar Film Festival that will feature some of your favorite Pixar Short Films such as Lava and For the Birds. The festival will be held in the Sunset Showcase Theater in California Adventure Park and play several times throughout the day.

Other entertainment includes a new musical troupe, special meet and greets with your favorite Pixar Characters, and crafts and other activities all taking place at Paradise Gardens. You'll also want to keep your eye out for new merchandise and dining options!

We can't wait for this new celebration to begin! Also don't forget, now-Oct. 31st, 2017 we have Adults Pay Kids prices on all 3, 4, and 5 Day tickets! Tickets are valid for use during Pixar Fest next year so buy them now before this sale ends!

The New Disneyland Hotel Will Amaze You!

New Disneyland Hotel Announced

The new Disneyland hotel which was announced this past weeks was a big shocker for us! Not that we didn't know they we're building one but more of what it is and where it's located. Our initial reaction was "how?" How can they pull this offer?! It will disrupt so many things! However, the more we've thought about it the more we love it.

The new Disneyland hotel will feature so really cool things but first the basics. It will feature 700 guest rooms, a fantastic swimming pool, a rooftop restaurant and lounge for dining as well as a rooftop fireworks viewing area. Shops and other dining experiences will be featured at the bottom or ground level of the hotel and include some playful water features.

New Disneyland Hotel

The new hotel is somewhat "oasis-themed" in that it will be surrounds by foliage and water features including the outside of the rooms all the way to the top. No details have been announced about the interior of the hotel other than the fact that hotel guests will have dedicated platform access to the monorail. This will be located at the North East end of the hotel.

The location of the hotel is probably the most interesting part. Whereas most of us speculated it would be located in the Downtown Disney parking lot, the new hotel is actually taking over the west end of Downtown Disney! Right smack in the middle of it, sorta. Take a look at the rendering done by Disney. You'll see that it V shapes around the end of Downtown Disney in front of the Disneyland Hotel. It sort of caps off Downtown Disney in a sense.

New Disneyland Hotel

Of course we have lots of questions based on the photo rendering of the new hotel. The image makes it look like the hotel has 4 separate building, the 2 larger ones creating the V shape and then 2 smaller ones on the North West side. Will these be Disney Vacation club rooms? Suites? Standard rooms?!

We're also wondering what will happen to all the shops that are already in Downtown Disney but now in the way of the new hotel. These would include Rainforest Cafe, AMC theaters, ESPN Zone, and Earl of Sandwich. Will they be featured on the ground level of the new hotel? Are they removing them completely?

It's an interesting concept to get use to but we think it's going to be really great! Disney did mention that all 4 resort hotels will be connected by lush garden walking paths to create a more connected feeling of the resort. We haven't forgotten about you Paradise Pier!
